After your Shouse has been designed, you could take those plans and find your own contractor to build your home. Or, you could take advantage of the fact that we have long-standing relationships with several local contractors who meet our strict standards for quality, timeliness, and staying on budget. We'll do the leg work of sending your project out for bids to our list of vetted contractors, and you'll get the peace of mind knowing you got the best price possible.

The Building Process From Final Floor Plan to Final Walk-Through
Building a new Shouse can be a stressful experience if you've never done it before. We're there every step of the way to guide you through the home building process and complete the project by giving you a turn-key home.
Secure the Land
If you already own the land, great. If you still need to purchase the land, we can help you secure the perfect spot.
Complete Design
Before we can break ground, we need to do some final calculations regarding utilities, elevations, etc.
Collect Project Bids
We'll send your project to our list of vetted shed and barndominium home contractors to get you the best price and quality workmanship.
Choose Finishes
While the foundation and framing are being built, we'll help you choose finishes and other design elements for your home.
Finalize Project
We'll work with you to hammer out any last-minute details before we break ground on your new Shouse.
Break Ground & Complete Project
After all the prep work is complete, it's time to break ground and build the home we've designed together.
Let's Get Started Turning a Floor Plan into Your Dream Home
Custom Bid
Once you are happy with your Shouse design, should you request, we will quote you a price on completing your project. Each Shouse is custom, so completing the bid phase can take approximately two weeks.
Bid Review
Once we a complete bid for your Shouse, we will arrange a time for us to review the bids, what is included, any spend allowance and the projected total cost of the project. This bid is good for a maximum of 30 days.
Down Payment
As part of our build contract, we ask for loan commitment from your lender and a non-refundable down-payment to hold your pricing and ensure your Shouse a spot on the build list.
Pre-Construction Meeting
During this meeting we will complete a final review of your design, colors, bids, design elements, finishes and all major systems. You will also receive a rough timeline for completion of your project.
